The Custom Webhook in Homebase lets users automatically send their Cyncly website leads to any third party tools that they work with. This allows for powerful integrations that can streamline operations and automate tasks such as copying customer data between systems. This guide will cover how to get started by setting up a Custom Webhook for your account.
- Log into Homebase.
- In the left-hand menu, under Performance click on Lead Settings.
- On the Integrations tab, find the Custom Webhook integration and toggle it on.
- Enter the URL that you want the webhook sent to.
- Select the Events you want to subscribe to:
- lead:created: triggers when a new lead is created in Homebase
- lead:modified: triggers whenever a lead is updated
- lead:closed: triggers whenever a lead is moved to a closed status such as Won or Lost
- lead:synced: triggers whenever a lead is synced to an external system (rare).
- (Optional) Use Filter Tags to only subscribe to events for specific lead types. If left blank, all leads types will be included.
- Test your webhook. Submit a test lead on your website or update the status on an existing lead (if subscribed to lead:modified or lead:closed events). You should see the lead payload at the URL you specified.
The webhook payload contains many details about the lead. Here are some of the key fields and definitions. Not all leads will have all details filled in:
- First Name - customer first name
- Last Name - customer last name
- E Mail Address - customer email
- Home Phone - customer phone number
- Home Postal Code - customer postal/zip code
- Sale Status - the status of the lead
- Sourceurl - the website page the lead came from
- Traffic Source - The source of the lead, e.g. direct, google, bing
- Traffic Medium - the medium of the lead, e.g. organic, referral, cpc
- Traffic Campaign - the advertising campaign name that the lead came from
- Traffic Content - the ad name that the lead came from
- Tags - tags applied to the lead in Homebase
- Notes - notes that have been added to the lead in Homebase
- Formcategory - The type of form the user submitted on your website, e.g. Estimate, Contact, Promo
- Dealeraddr - the street address of the location that the lead is for
- Dealercity - the city of the location that the lead is for
