Homebase has a Zapier App that lets you build your own custom integrations with thousands of third party tools and applications. This guide will walk through the steps for setting this up for your account.
- Log into Homebase.
- In the left-hand menu, under Performance click on Lead Settings.
- On the Integrations tab, find the Zapier integration and toggle it on.
- Click the link to Accept Zapier Invite. This will bring you to Zapier.
- In Zapier, click the button to Accept Invite & Build a Zap.
- Return to Homebase and copy the API Key.
- Return to Zapier. In the left-hand menu, click Create > Zaps.
- Click on the Trigger step, then search for the Cyncly Leads app.
- Choose a Trigger event:
- Lead Created: triggers when a new lead is created in Homebase. (most common)
- Lead Closed: triggers when a lead is moved to a closed status such as Won or Lost.
- Lead Modified: triggers any time a lead is updated.

Lead Synced: triggers when a lead is synced to an external system (rare).
- Connect your account. Paste the API key you copied from Homebase and click Continue.
- Click Continue.
- (Optional) Select a lead type if you only want that lead type to trigger your Zap. If you want all or multiple lead types, you can leave this blank and click Continue. You can add a filter step later if you want to prevent a specific lead type from triggering your Zap (for example, phone calls).
- Click Test Trigger. This should pull in a few recent leads from Homebase. You can click on one to view some of the details that are included in the lead payload. Once you have selected a lead you want to test with, click Continue with selected record.
- Pick the next step in your Zap. If you want to add a filter step to prevent certain leads from continuing, you can add one now. Otherwise, you can select from over 7000 different tools with native Zap apps, or choose Webhooks to build your own custom integration with any open API. Happy building!
