If text chat is turned on for your Cyncly Websites site, visitors see a floating chat button they can use to send you a text message. You can change the button's wording, color, and position in Homebase.
What you can do here
- Change the text on the chat button
- Change the message shown next to the button
- Change the button's color
- Move the button to the left or right side of the page
- Choose how your locations are shown in the chat
Change your chat button settings
- In Homebase, go to Website Builder > Advanced > Widgets.
- Under Chat Configuration, update the fields described in Chat button fields below.
- Select Save at the top of the page.
Save only becomes available after you've changed something.

- Floating Button Label: The text on the chat button, like
Ask a question. - Floating Button Callout: A short message shown next to the button to invite visitors to chat, like
Questions? We're here to help! - Floating Button Icon Color: The button's color. Pick a color, or type a color code like
#1A6CFF. - Floating Button Position: Choose Left or Right to set which bottom corner of the page the button appears in.
- Location Name & Address Display: Choose what visitors see for each of your locations in the chat: Show Location Name & Address, Show Location Name, or Show Location Address.
About turning chat on or off
These settings only change how the chat button looks. If you don't see a chat button on your site, or want to turn chat on or off, reach out to support.
What if I see an error?
- "Floating Button Label is required when Web2Text is enabled": Chat is turned on, so the button needs text. Enter a label, then save again.
- "Floating Button Callout is required when Web2Text is enabled": Enter a callout message, then save again.
- "Error updating widget settings": Your changes didn't save. Refresh the page and try again.
If you can see these settings but can't change them, you don't have permission to edit them. Reach out to support if you need access.
